Restaurant Review: Mable Murphy's Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Last month, my siblings and I toured the historic Kirkbride Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center aka Mental Hospital. I believe it has been closed completely since 2007, but there is this sweet couple who give tours, so we were lucky enough to see the inside. It was a great photo opportunity for my sister, Shannon. You can check out her awesome pics at her blog here. The building is absolutely gorgeous in an eerie kind of way.

After touring for a couple hours, we worked up a huge appetite and decided to check out a local restaurant called Mable Murphy's. When you first pull in the parking lot, the building looks like an Irish mansion. The inside has that feel as well. There are various rooms like a house, all over the restaurant. It's so cozy!

Here is a cute corner of the room we ate in!

 And a couple others!

We were able to take advantage of the lunch menu, which was super reasonable in price. They also offered a soup, salad and sandwich bar which had a great selection.

I had the Citrus Glazed Salmon which was served with an amazing rice blend and broccoli. The flavors were so good. I loved every aspect of this meal.

It also included Beer Cheese Soup. YUM!

My sister had the Teriyaki Chicken. She loved her meal as well.

The Reuben and Waffle Fries were also very good.

I would go back here again if I was ever in the Fergus Falls area! We had great food and service!

You can find Mable Murphy's at:
Junction Hwy 210 and I-94 in Fergus Falls, MN
