A delicious appetizer that tastes just like the sandwich! Quick, easy and flavorful!! Philly Cheese Steak Biscuit Bites from Hot Eats and Cool Reads!

Hey bloggy friends! I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend so far! I had a ladies night out with my sisters last night and we had a blast! Sometimes you gotta take a break from the kiddos and have some much needed time with the people who matter most, family!

I hope to spend some time in the kitchen tomorrow, and come up with some great recipes to share with you! I've had 3 recipe fails within the last few weeks, so I need to get some awesome stuff cooking!

Today's recipe is for these awesome Philly Cheese Steak Biscuit Bites! I just LOVE taking ingredients found in the fridge, wrap them up in a biscuit, and creating them into something yummy. These taste just like my favorite sandwich, but in a bite. How fun and delicious, let me tell you! These also bake up super quick, so they would make a great dinner, in a pinch!

Philly Cheese Steak Biscuit Bites

What you need:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 bell pepper, finely diced (I used yellow)
1/2 pound cooked steak, cut into small bite sized pieces
1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning
5 slices provolone cheese, cut into quarters
2- 7.5 ounce cans buttermilk biscuits
melted butter, for topping

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add the steak and steak seasoning, stir to combine and remove from heat.

Flatten each biscuit. Fold the cheese piece in half, lay the cheese in the center of the biscuit, then scoop about 1- 1 1/2 tablespoons of the steak mixture on top of the cheese. Fold edges around steak and cheese until sealed, then place seam side down on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Repeat until finished. Brush each biscuit with melted butter.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
