Delicious hot or cold, this "better for you" hot chocolate is super simple to make! Ready in 5 minutes!

It's back to freezing cold today, here in Minnesota. Days like this are perfect for hot chocolate, but they also have me dreaming about hot summer days. There's nothing like a delicious, icy drink to cool you down on days like that. This recipe for Almond Hot Chocolate is perfect for either! Serve it hot when it's cold, and iced when it's warm outside. Delicious, either way!
I especially like this hot chocolate because it's not too sweet like the pre-packaged hot chocolate packets. You control the sweetness. Try 2 tablespoons of honey first, then add more if you prefer! I also love that it's made with almond milk. My daughter and I love drinking it plain versus regular milk. I still have to have to use regular milk for my cereal though, some tastes never change! It's just not the same!
I hope you enjoy this recipe! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Reguar or Iced Almond Hot Chocolate
1-2 servings
What you need:
2 cups sweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons honey (adjust if you prefer sweeter, or not as sweet)
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, heat the almond milk, cocoa powder, honey and vanilla extract over medium heat, whisking constantly until heated through. About 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Serve immediately with marshmallows, if serving hot.
Otherwise, cool then refrigerate until using, or fill glasses with ice. Pour hot chocolate over the ice and serve immediately.
