Candy Cane Kiss Muddy Buddies Recipe

Tomorrow is the BIG moving day! We close on the house late afternoon and will start moving stuff after that. It's a great feeling to be spending our last night in the apartment! We are so blessed to have this opportunity to purchase a home through Habitat for Humanity!

Last Saturday was our dedication ceremony. Habitat has this celebration to invite friends, family and members of the community to come see the house and meet the family. It was alot of fun! Here are some pics of our day!

My daughter and I in front of our new home! I'm getting the green house I've always
wanted!

Some of my favorite people came to celebrate with us!

It was a full house!

We also made some amazing food for the dedication ceremony! This recipe for Candy Cane Kiss Muddy Buddies was a hit! It's SO stinkin easy and wonderful for any holiday celebration. I don't know about you, but I have a slight addiction to Candy Cane Kisses. They are my favorite Christmas candy! Here's the recipe and enjoy!

What you need:
10 cups rice chex
10 ounces Candy Cane Kisses, unwrapped
1 1/2 cups vanilla chips
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup candy canes, crushed, optional

Directions:
Place rice chex in a large bowl.

In a microwave safe bowl, combine the candy cane kisses and vanilla chips. Microwave for one minute, remove from microwave and stir. Return to the microwave, and heat for 30 seconds, stir. Repeat until melted and smooth.

Pour half of the kisses and chips mixture over the rice chex. Gently stir to coat. Pour remaining half over the chex and stir again to coat. Gently toss in the powdered sugar, and crushed candy canes until evenly coated. Store covered until serving.
