July 13th already? This summer is flying by! We've been enjoying all the delicious local produce available, especially strawberries! We've also been spending alot of time in the water, listening to music at our local summertime concert series and will take a trip up to the cabin next month! I just love everything about this time of year!
Busy summer days call for easy meals and desserts! I have a great recipe today that can be ready in less than 10 minutes! Perfect for snack time or dessert, especially when you need something ready in a pinch!
I put a twist on the traditional strawberry pretzel desserts by making them individual and adding cream cheese whipped cream. They are so simple and you can serve them in clear plastic cups for easy disposal. Since the pretzels aren't sweet, you'll just want to add a few of them to each layer. They add a nice crunch and hint of savory saltiness, which I love. The cream cheese whipped cream is to die for, especially for those who love cream cheese!
I hope you enjoy this delicious and easy dessert! You can also try it with fresh blueberries, bananas, raspberries or kiwi!
Individual Strawberry Pretzel Desserts with Cream Cheese Whipped Cream
Ingredients (4 small desserts)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup pretzels, broken into small pieces
- 2 cups strawberries, diced
In a large bowl, combine whipping cream and cream cheese. Mix with an electric mixer until peaks are about to form. Add powdered sugar, mix to combine.
Layer a small amount of pretzels on the bottom, then layer strawberries and cream until you reach the top. Serve immediately.
Use 2-4 individual sized clear glass bowls or glasses for serving.
