Recipes from old Minnesota church cookbooks are some of my favorites, especially fruit salad recipes like this. They bring me back to my childhood.

Today's 5 Cup Salad was found in a church cookbook I bought at a garage sale awhile back. I especially love this classic recipe because it's not as sweet as other fruit or fluff salads tend to be. The sour cream base does get sweet from the marshmallows, coconut and fruit, but it's not overly sweet.

I remember eating sweet fruit salads like this at potlucks when I was young, and it's perfect for that, parties, the lunch box or a simple snack or dessert at home.

We love so many different fruit salads at our house! This Lemon Fluff, Orange Jello Salad and Peach Fruit Salad are some of our favorites!
