Who loves banana cream pie?? If you do, then you'll LOVE this recipe!

I love getting together with my sister, Shannon. We usually spend the entire weekend together binging on the DVR or Netflix, cooking or baking and maybe a little shopping.

On my most recent visit, we decided to make a batch of this amazing banana pudding.

This recipe uses simple ingredients from your fridge and pantry for an easy and SO delicious semi homemade dessert!

It's great for any large gathering and is wonderful for breakfast the next morning, if you have some left over. I always have to have something sweet with my coffee and this pudding was perfect.

The cream is so heavenly and tastes wonderful with the bananas and wafers. If you want to take it over the top, try using real whipped cream instead of cool whip. You won't regret it, promise!

What are the ingredients in this recipe?

  • milk
  • instant french vanilla pudding
  • instant vanilla pudding
  • cream cheese
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • Cool Whip
  • Nilla Wafers
  • bananas

Recipe tips:

  • Take the cream cheese out of the fridge 20-30 minutes before you start making this dessert
  • Desserts are the best with whole milk, but any milk will work for this
  • Homemade sweetened whipped cream may be used, but homemade whipped cream doesn't stay stabilized as long as Cool Whip, so it may break down into a more liquid state the longer it sits
  • To keep the bananas from turning brown right away, you can lightly coat them in lemon juice or orange juice. Don't use too much, otherwise the flavor with alter slightly
