I am SO excited to share one of our absolute favorite recipes today!
If you've never had wings made in the air fryer before, you have to give them a try with this recipe. We first tried a recipe similar to this over a year ago. Since then, I've changed some of the ingredients or amounts of them and ended up with our family favorite wing recipe!
These Buttery Lemon Pepper Wings are cooked to absolute perfection. The skin gets crispy from the light flour coating and the lemon pepper, butter and parsley combo adds a burst of flavor.
Everyone who's tried them has loved them. We now prefer air fried wings over oil fried or oven baked. The flavor and texture is just so much better.
These wings are a great appetizer for a party, a quick lunch or dinner! Serve with your favorite salad, rice or veggie for a complete meal.

Recipe tips:
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
- I’ve used several brands of lemon pepper with these wings and the saltiness in each brand varies. Start with ½ tablespoon lemon pepper and increase the amount if needed depending on the saltiness of your lemon pepper.
- We own a Ninja air fryer and these cook in about 18 minutes to the crispiness we love! Different brands may heat differently, so adjust the time accordingly and use a meat thermometer if you're unsure.

Air Fryer Buttery Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 16 wings (flats and drums)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Breading:
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ tablespoon lemon pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Pat each wing dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, season the wings with garlic powder, onion powder and ½ teaspoon salt. Toss to evenly coat.
- In a separate shallow bowl, combine the flour, ½ teaspoon salt and black pepper.
- Lightly coat each wing with the flour mixture, then add to your air fryer basket on the broil rack. Space wings evenly and cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes, then flip and air fry for another 8 minutes or until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
- Remove from the air fryer and place wings in a bowl.
- Meanwhile, add the butter to a bowl and melt in the microwave. Stir in the lemon pepper and parsley.
- Drizzle butter mixture over the wings and toss to coat. (we cook the wings in two batches, using half the butter for the first batch, and half for the second.)

You'll want the wings to be super crispy so the butter sauce coats them and doesn't make them soggy.
