Shopping list:
- mini twist pretzels
- red candy melts
- mini green M&Ms
We had so much fun making (and eating!) these adorable Candy Apple Pretzel Snacks together. Hazel especially loved helping with the M&Ms. With her starting kindergarten next week, little projects like this feel extra special, and I love finding ways to sneak in some fun kitchen time with her. They’re the perfect sweet and salty combo, and honestly, kind of addicting once you start snacking on them.
With just three ingredients, mini twist pretzels, red candy melts, and mini green M&Ms, they’re super kid friendly and quick to make. Hazel loved dipping the pretzels in the candy melts and pressing on the “apple stems.” They’re perfect for parties, after school treats, or packing into little snack bags with tags and ribbon to share with family and friends. Best of all, they only take about 10 minutes to assemble and just 30 minutes to chill in the fridge before they’re ready to enjoy!

Recipe tips and substitution ideas:
- You can order candy melts from Amazon, but they're usually available at local craft stores and Walmart. You can also use white almond bark with an oil based food coloring.
- Store these in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
- You can use green or yellow candy melts to make different colored “apples.” For a fun finishing touch, sprinkle red sprinkles on top right after coating while the candy is still soft so they stick.
