An amazing summertime salad with tons of fabulous ingredients! Perfect for a crowd!
Today's recipe is perfect for your Memorial Day BBQ or picnic! Who else loves pasta salads as much as I do?
This pasta salad is quite delicious! It has so many great ingredients and the buttermilk/sour cream/mayo sauce is light and tasty! There's bacon and ham for you meat lovers, delicious shell pasta, cheese and veggies! There's also fresh dill and parsley in the sauce to add a pop of flavor.
Fresh dill is my favorite herb right now! We love making potato foil packets with dill on the grill, or cucumbers and vinegar with some fresh dill. It has such a wonderful flavor!
We made this at my sister's house last weekend to go with smoked chicken and it was the perfect side! We even had leftovers which was great for lunch the next day! These kinds of recipes are total comfort food to me. They just remind me of great memories of spending time with friends and family during the summer holidays. This is my favorite foodie time of year! Tons of fresh ingredients, sunshine and relaxation!
Ham, Bacon and Avocado Pasta Saladby
- 1 pound medium shell pasta, cooked al dente and rinsed with cold water
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup ham, diced
- 30 grape tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
- 2 avocado, diced
- 10 green onions, sliced
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- salt and pepper, to taste
Whisk sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl, pour sauce over top and toss to combine. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.
