This cranberry raspberry sauce is SO addicting! This is your warning and be prepared to eat it by the spoonful!
I love regular, traditional cranberry sauce, but the addition of raspberries in this recipe is heavenly and so amazing.
The raspberries help balance the tartness of the cranberries, along with the sugar. I also love the addition of the vanilla extract. It really compliments the flavor of the cranberries and raspberries.
It goes perfectly with a ham or turkey Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.
If you happen to have leftovers, they are great added to quesadillas and sandwiches made with leftover turkey or you can use it to make a tasty cranberry drink or punch. Sometimes, I make a batch just to use in other recipes.

Cranberry Raspberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium size saucepan over medium high heat.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken, stirring frequently.
- Using a potato masher, mash the cranberries until you reach the consistency you like. I leave about half my berries whole, and half mashed.
- Cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cool slightly to thicken more and serve!
