My sister's and I got to go on our dream trip to New Orleans in February!

We knew it was going to be an amazing foodie trip and had a whole list of restaurants to try before we left!

In addition to our list, we tried suggestions from locals and places we happened to stumble upon.

I hope you enjoy the places we tried!

Deanie's Seafood 2200 Magazine Street

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants!

Our first night in the beautiful Garden District we decided to venture to Magazine Street for dinner!

Deanie's is world famous for their fried and boiled seafood and is defintely a staple in New Orleans. We loved the decor as soon as we walked in, were seated immediately and were super excited to order.

The waitress started us off with the complimentary boiled potatoes which were very tasty. It's a totally great way to start off the meal for this Minnesota girl.

My sister's and I ordered the Oyster Po Boy, Shrimp Po Boy, Stuffed Shrimp, Crawfish Bisque and Red Beans and Rice. The meal was not only delicious, but way more than we could eat. The portion sizes were great too.

New Orleans Original Daiquiris 620 Terry Parkway Gretna, LA

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants!

When in New Orleans, get yourself a daiquiri or three!

We stopped at the location in Gretna, which is a total sports bar environment with pool tables. The staff was amazing and so welcoming.

The lady working gave us free samples since it was our first time there and it was great to try so many flavors to make sure we loved what we were getting.

My sisters got the king cake flavor, and I chose the peach bellini! We took them to go for a drink back at the hotel!

You can totally take these with you, which was new for us minnesotans! Just keep the straw in the wrapper and the top sealed, and you're good to go!

A definite must try, even if you only drink one!

New Orleans Creole Cookery 508 Toulouse Street

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

New Orleans Creole Cookery was personally recommended to us by Wanda, our city tour guide from Celebration Tours.

She is friends with the gentleman greeting everyone at the entrance. Lets talk about him for a second. What an amazing, suave man. So perfect at what he does, drawing people in and making them feel at home.

This restaurant is in my top three favorites of restaurants in NOLA. Our server was knowledgeable and a great salesperson, very attentive and so kind.

We decided to order a few drinks to start off with. The Cookery 75, French Quarter Lemonade and Southern Cooler is what we decided to sip on and they were all delicious, especially when it's warm outside. I especially loved the French Quarter Lemonade, because of the Stoli cucumber. Yum!

Up next were the Char Grilled Oysters and the Taste of New Orleans! It was our first time trying oysters. Both Shantel and I loved them, and Shannon was proud of herself for branching out and trying them, even though she couldn't get past the texture.

The Taste of New Orleans is a sampling of four creole favorites! Jambalaya, Crawfish Etoufee, Shrimp Creole, Red Beans And Rice! The Shrimp Creole was our favorite by far, but we had no problem finishing them all.

We ended our amazing meal with the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. All I can say is drool. So freaking good!

This is a restaurant you can't miss in the French Quarter! Two weeks later, I'm still dreaming of this meal!

Tropical Isle, Bourbon Street

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

No trip to Bourbon Street is complete without a Hand Grenade drink from Tropical Isle!

The Hand Grenade is nicknamed the "Most Powerful Drink in New Orleans" and for a very good reason. They go down easy on a warm day and after a couple, you might find yourself doing the Cupid Shuffle in the middle of Bourbon Street like we did!

Bring back your grenade cup for a discount on your next Hand Grenade drink. You can find a few locations scattered in the French Quarter!

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar, Bourbon Street

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

Where did we do the Cupid Shuffle you ask?

In front of Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop while drinking their delicious VooDoo Daiquiri! This happened to be my favorite daiquiri of the trip, because of it's delicious grape flavor!

Did you know that Lafitte's is the oldest bar in the US? SO much history and so fun!

Check out my sister's and I right after the Cupid Shuffle and before the next dance!

We happened to be hanging out on Bourbon Street the day of the Super Bowl and caught the fun chaos of all the Boycott Bowl festivities!

The Ruby Slipper Cafe 315 S Broad Street

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

We were defintely ready for breakfast the next morning after kicking it on Bourbon Street the night before!

The Ruby Slipper Cafe was at the top of our breakfast list. We visited the location on Broad Street and sat down to check out all the menu options.

We ordered the Croque Madam Sandwich (coffee glazed ham and Swiss with mornay sauce and a fried egg), cinnamon swirl pancakes and the southern breakfast with grits, eggs, fried green tomato, biscuit and bacon along with regular and iced coffee!

It was delicious and even though the service was a bit slow that morning even though it wasn't busy, the food was wonderful!

Port of Call 838 Esplanade Ave

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

After our cemetery tour, we decided to have some burgers. Port of Call was on our list and was recommended to us by our Lyft driver!

If you're a burger lover, then this is the place for you!

Their burgers are "New Orleans Best Hamburgers" for a good reason. I ordered the mushroom cheeseburger and a basic baked potato and enjoyed every last bite. The menu is simple, but Port of Call does it well. Simple food that's amazing!

They also have some great drink options, but don't come expecting french fries. You won't find any here!

Cafe Du Monde 800 Decatur St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

Cafe Du Monde.

Need I say more? Not really, but OMG the hype is real, people. So real.

We stopped for Beignets and Cafe Au Lait twice during our visit to NOLA and also purchased some of the goodies to take home with us too!

The Beignets are absolutely wonderful and a trip wouldn't be complete without trying some. This place has been open since 1862 and is the original French Market Coffee Stand!

Southern Candymakers 334 or 1010 Decatur St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

This is a definite must stop for any sweet tooth craving!

The pralines are melt in your mouth delicious, and it's conveniently located in the French Quarter in two locations.

I bought some extra to bring home with me and they survived the plane trip!

Oceana Grill 739 Conti St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

This has to be one of the coolest restaurant buildings we visited on our trip!

You may have heard of Oceana Grill from the TV show, Kitchen Nightmares, but don't let that steer you away from trying this restaurant!

The service was great, the ambiance was fun and the menu has a great variety of NOLA eats!

Surrey's Café & Juice Bar 1418 Magazine St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

Pretty sure breakfast at Surrey's was my favorite breakfast spot on the whole trip!

The fresh squeezed juice was to die for! I loved my fresh squeezed apple juice!

The food was just as amazing! We enjoyed a variety of sweet and savory breakfasts and the Bananas Foster French Toast was wonderful, along with everything else.

The prices are reasonable and the walls are decorated with local art that's available for purchase!

I highly recommend you visit!

Neyow's Creole Café 3332 Bienville St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

Neyow's was a brand new restaurant when we visited last year, and we stopped because of a recommendation from an UBER driver! The food is Creole and Southern, but with a unique twist!

The food and drink specials were great, and we ended up choosing our mojitos and po boys because they were on special the day we visited.

All the food was FANTASTIC, especially the sides of mac and cheese and potato salad. Both were unlike any I've eaten before and I would love to try them again!

If you want something different, defintely stop here for lunch or dinner!

District Donuts Sliders Brew 2209 Magazine St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

I love a good donut, and District did not disappoint!

These donuts are a good value for the money and we couldn't finish any the day we visited!

The drinks are great as well, such a wonderful spot for a quick and easy breakfast!

The Court of Two Sisters 613 Royal St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

This legendary place was highly recommended to us by multiple people and is the ultimate brunch!

The courtyard is gorgeous, the wait staff is amazing and the food was wonderful! One of the best things besides the food? The live jazz music playing while you eat brunch. The whole atmosphere is relaxing and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of NOLA.

The buffet selection changes often depending on the fresh ingredients are available, but you can expect top notch food whenever you decide to visit!

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar 4338 St Charles Ave

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

After all the cajun and creole food we tried on this trip, we decided to find something different for our last dinner on the trip.

Superior Seafood drew us in originally from the advertised frozen cocktails which were much needed after a hot day of exploring!

The food was phenomenal and what we ordered was fresh and flavorful!

Mother's Restaurant 401 Poydras St

The BEST Places to Eat and Drink in New Orleans, Louisiana! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks! Look no further for some great NOLA restaurants and bars!

If you're looking for old school diner comfort food, this is your place!

This restaurant has been open since 1938 and is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

We stopped for breakfast on our way to the airport and left satisfied with a full belly.

Our waitress was a total sweetheart and this is a place that reminds you of Grandma's house!

Next time, I'm going back for the po boy, which they're well known for!
