These Seasoned Hard Boiled Eggs are SO addicting and super easy to make!

I love them for breakfast or lunch, but they'd also be a great appetizer idea for a family or holiday brunch. I used some of my favorite seasonings, but these would be great with almost any seasoning blend you love.

The buttery seasoning blend adds so much flavor to a plain hard boiled egg. With Easter coming up this weekend, these would be great to use up some of your extra hard boiled eggs. Even though the price of eggs are higher right now, it's still a great and affordable protein option.

a bowl with melted butter and seasonings.

You can add or substitute with these ingredients:

  • use lemon pepper instead of creole seasoning
  • use Old Bay seasoning instead of creole seasoning
  • add onion powder
  • use freshly cracked black pepper instead of crushed red pepper
  • add chopped, fresh herbs to the butter mixture

Recipe tips:

  • This recipe is best with freshly boiled eggs that are still warm. Cold eggs work too. You can also peel, slice in half and microwave for a few seconds to heat the hard boiled eggs.
  • If you're making these for a crowd, you can peel and slice the eggs ahead of time. I store them on a platter, covered, then drizzle the butter mixture on just before serving.
