If you're looking for a fun and easy Halloween drink that the kids will love, this Witch's Brew Punch is perfect! This fizzy, grape flavored Halloween punch is completely non alcoholic and made with just two main ingredients: grape Kool-Aid and lemon lime soda. You can keep it simple or make it extra spooky with edible shimmer powder, gummy worms, and other fun Halloween decorations. It's sweet, bubbly, and full of fruity flavor, making it a great addition to Halloween parties, classroom celebrations, or a spooky movie night at home!

Kool-Aid always takes me right back to my childhood! My dad made it all the time in one of those classic Tupperware pitchers, and we even had a stirring spoon in the drawer that was permanently stained red from all the Kool-Aid he mixed over the years. It's funny how something as simple as a drink can bring back so many memories! I love that I can take something I grew up drinking and turn it into a fun Halloween treat for my own kids. For an extra spooky presentation, you can even freeze water in a clean, food safe plastic glove, remove the glove once frozen, and float the giant ice hand in a punch bowl. I also added edible shimmer powder to give the punch a magical, potion like appearance, although it didn't show up very well in my photos. Feel free to add a little more or try a different shimmer color if you want that sparkly effect to really stand out!

Recipe tips:

  • For the best flavor and fizz, make sure the grape Kool-Aid and lemon lime soda are well chilled before mixing. Add the lemon lime soda just before serving so the punch stays bubbly and refreshing. If you're using edible shimmer powder, make sure it's labeled edible and food safe, not just non toxic, and stir it into the punch right before serving for the prettiest sparkling effect. You can add a little extra shimmer or experiment with different colors to make it more noticeable.
  • For a fun Halloween presentation, garnish each glass with gummy worms or freeze water in a clean, food safe glove to create a spooky floating ice hand for a punch bowl. If making the punch ahead of time, prepare the Kool-Aid and refrigerate it separately, then add the soda, ice, and decorations just before serving. Leftover punch can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, although it will gradually lose its fizz.

Swaps and additions:

  • Swap the grape Kool-Aid for black cherry, mixed berry, blue raspberry, or tropical punch to create different colors and flavors. Lemon lime soda can be replaced with ginger ale, or sparkling water for a less sweet option. You can also add a splash of pineapple juice, cranberry juice, or lemonade for extra fruity flavor. For an even spookier presentation, add gummy eyeballs, gummy spiders, candy bones, or extra gummy worms to each glass.
  • Freeze grapes or blueberries to use as colorful ice cubes, or make ice cubes with gummy worms inside for a creepy surprise. For a fun party presentation, serve the punch in a large cauldron style punch bowl and garnish with orange slices or lime slices!
